The Hummus Diaries: Middle Eastern Culinary Adventures
I recently started a food blog where I catalog my mother’s recipes, mostly for posterity, but also because I’m severely inept when it comes to food. (Let alone traditional dishes with secret ingredients and weeks of preparation.) Click through to begin salivating. It’s a tumblr blog (tumblog?) so you can sign up and follow, or [...]
Bamboo with a View
Big Bambú feat. Rope
Rough Terrain
Overblown HDR effects brought to you by a magic combination of insomnia and boredom.
The Worst Thing in the World
This is quite possibly the worst thing I’ve ever come across while shopping. Do yourself a favor and never walk into a Caché. Not only are their clothes ugly, they discriminate against “unwanted” customers. Let them live in their sequined caves alone. To feast on each others’ bedazzled appendages.
Soft Spots
Thought I’d include a dog photo to round things out. (Don’t get too hopeful; he’s only visiting.)
MadisonGrey
Branding done for MadisonGrey Holdings, including website and print collateral. “The Rapid Movement of Water” became a running theme, apropos for a hedge fund administrator. Keeping all the graphics clean and simple was my primary goal; there’s no needless clutter or anonymous operator stock photos.
New Balance Running Game
What’s more fun, designing a game or playing it? Both? This particular game is a Facebook app that earns you points you can use to get actual prizes. Feel the burn (in your index finger) as you dodge giant spiders, little girls on pogo sticks, and other everyday road hazards. Oh, and check out these [...]
Flavors of Emotion
Givaudan Flavors & Fragrances needed an interactive presentation tool to showcase their LINC flavors in a visually striking way. I designed the interface, which had many moving parts that I organized and handed off to a programmer. By the way, I agree that apple is an underwhelming artificial flavor, though grape has to be the [...]
The Sketchbook Project 2011
It’s been a crazy week (as evidenced by my lack of updates) but I’m pretty excited today. The Art House Coop has an annual Sketchbook Project, and my sketchbook arrived in the mail today. I participated a couple years ago, when the sketchbook was the pocket-sized mini Moleskine journal. Now it’s all grown up — [...]
Fuel
Fuel is a poster series targeted toward middle schoolers to promote healthy eating and the cafeteria theme of the month. I created the illustrations for eight posters, as well as the logo variations that appeared on each one.
Is it my GOOOOOL
Support your team! Watch the World Cup in Spanish! Seriously, ESPN’s commentators are excruciating. (Make sure to read the above t-shirt as Aaliyah.) Now, let’s collectively mourn the botched call on the US’s presumable third and winning goal against Slovenia, even though most Americans could not give an owl pellet about soccer. GOOOOOOOOOOOL! GOL GOL [...]
